About SGS

SGS Engineering LLC has been expanding its engineering services since its establishment in 2007. 
Our roots go back to a Lubbock engineering company, Hicks and Ragland.  Three H&R employees left there and started Sullivan, Gray, and Smith.  A number of H&R employees later joined them, and the company became SGS Associates.  In an effort to expand, that company merged with an Albuquerque firm and became SGS Witter.  After a short stint as a TRC company, SGS Engineering emerged.
Today there are seven partners, each responsible for different areas of the company.  There are four main engineering groups, transmission/distribution, protection and control, substation design, and planning.  We have about 35 employees in three locations, Lubbock, San Antonio (Boerne), and Dallas (Grapevine).  There are 10 licensed professional engineers in the company.
